as it says above, i noticed someone had a topic on them not so long ago. these rear covers didnt have the red insert in it. do some come without this or can you just leave it out and use a red bulb also where can you get them from? cheers

I got mine from www.mini-magic.de...the best dealer in germany! i know he get his parts from Uk..so contact him through PM if you need a pair quick and cheap...
Before we got loads of people saying " well i dont like them!! " well i do and they are on my mini... :cheese:
The set always comes with the red part...I dont know about leaving the red part out, ive never tried, but it does have a red bulb, and maybe they will just light up without the red lense PINK...i got chrome blinker bulbs for my indicators!!

The only problem i found is that they came with a roll of window insulation for the seal...not very good i might add but that comes with the fittings as standard!! i fiited mine with a light use of silicon...nothing gets past that!! :grin:

these are suppose to bolt on under the bumper...as said i could not be bothered...really should do though or Mr german policeman will get angry!!
They look like they belong to a old raleigh bike!!

But in GB cars are required to have a rear facing reflector for MOT purposes.........having said this my mk2 golf passed without one.......you could always fit it then remove once MOT done!the red parts are not as a reflector!! they come aswell in the set..but i cant be bothered to fit them!!I think the red part is there as a reflector

You will have to do it with these lenses i have too, they are not E marked..that means no MOT will pass you!!you could always fit it then remove once MOT done!
I always keep my old original lense covers in the boot in Mr polizei stops me!!

you can get red l.e.d direct replacement bulbs now that glow red and also have a second function for brake light! no need for the red insert bit me thinks! hehehe
