Put a Nissan skyline engine in it, i think a 16 valve bonnet would cover that. No one would ever know!

mg metro cam and a 12g295 cylinder head, also if you removed the first silencer from your exhaust that would help the power and not make that much more noise, after that a K&N filter element inside the standard air box.

I don't want my father to know I'm modifying my car, as he is the one paying the insurance and doesn't want to pay the extra premium. He also doesn't like the idea of me racing around in a faster car than I should have after just passing my test, with now invalid insurance....

I put a standard 1000cc in mine.... its quite quick

As said, lightened flywheel, then cast twin downpipe inlet and exhaust manifold from a metro with metro downpipes

take the rear exhaust box off and fit a front box in its place so you have two front boxes in the system, straight through and quiet.

Richer needle for the carb

1300 air filter box

Set the timing propper and the mixture and your 998 will fly

And no one will be able to tell it's modified.

Getting complicated now but a lightened flywheel will enhance acceleration, either buy a lightened one of your choice or get a machine shop / engine reconditioner to skim some metal off yours.
Not weighed one lately but I'm sure someone on here will tell you

You're 17, get yourself on the road with a standard 998. 38BHP will be plenty.

I mean, the best way to keep it secret and not tell anyone if your upto no good would be NOT to post it up on a public forum I'm guessing? If your on facebook you might aswell go the whole hog and put it up on there?

Get some driving experience on the road with what you got first, plenty of time for all that Powerrrr business later, show him (and the insurance companies) everythings sweet while your on the road and they will both lay off, do it the other way and as Deathrow said TMF does not approve, along with ALOT of others here and I'm sure your dad is included in that list
