Just as the title, I have some wolfrace alloys which arent lackered or anything. So if i dont polish them dayly they start to tarnish and pit with the salt and break dust. I was wondering if i could take the tyres off, Give then a light wet and dry and get them looking good and then spray lacker over the top to protect the finish. Will this work? WIll lacker stay stuck to the alloy or do wheel maufactures use a different sort of lacker. I was thinking of using the stuff halfords sell to go over there rattel can paints.
Any advice would be greatly apreiciated as i really dont have the time or a desire to polish my wheels

I have heard, but have not tried by the way, that spray on laquer such as the halfords stuff will work for a short time, but quickly yellow/discolour and flake off.
however, im pretty sure is is some which wont, as new alloys with a polished rim are laquered over. hopefully someone else will know where to get it!
