custom exhaust

right my uncle has said he will make me a custom exhaust if i want one and i fancy the exhaust coming out the side just before the rear wheels and was wondering would it be legall if its just straight through pipe coming off the manifold with no silencer on

BUT: a Land rover is quite high up - to pull it off on a Mini there would have to be a lot of bending and curves causing an even LoUdEr exhaust - thats what they did on the Scooby's (curves in the manifold) to give that unique sound.

Imprezas and other Subarus "burble" because of unequal length manifolds, nothing to do with the amount of curves. Hence the Spec C, which has an equal length manifold doesn't have the sound..

No, its because of the manifold! lol
With an equal length manifold it sounds like a normal car!
