Wow what a mess that wiring was.

Everything wired up directly to switched live, scotch locked into ignition wires.

So new blade fuse box installed for accessories....

top blade now perm live 10amp to radio/cd player
second one 10amp switched live to radio/cd player
third one 15amp switched live to fuel pump circuit
forth one 15amp switched live to dual 12v cig lighter sockets.

Sony headunit installed, cage doesnt fit the dash very well and I hate noises, so touch wood its gunna be secure and not sweak/rattle.

Speaker wires re-run to 6x9s that were allready in the parcel shelf.

then gave it a quick wash

Oh and replaced the choke cable, that was the first job, wasnt too bad....had worse ones.

you cant see it in picture, but ive mounted one of these just below the glovebox for charging phone etc. Looks quite good under the black dash rail, about half inch back. will get a better picture of it fitted tomorrow.

thought about it, but the wings have been drilled about 1inch higher than the standard lip, so id be left with several holes in each wing/quarter.

Im thinking about fitting a back bumper tho....

yeah bumper is easily sorted.

Not sure on the arches, depends what I can do with the holes left. Sportspack copies would probally cover em, but i dont really want sportpack.

The new wheels make a BIG difference! :thumbsup:

I think refitting the bumper would improve the rear. Have you thought about wide group 2 arches? Are you taking this to the MetroCentre meet tomorrow night (wed 09/05) Jordie?

im usually down the NERC wednesdays as thats the night I work on my project, so probally not.

Wiper motor replaced, stopped working and would only work so long after a "tap" with hammer.

Opened it up, full of water.

Replaced with a good working one, added a little grease to mechanism and working again but no "fast" speed, guess its an older wiper motor. but better than non.

Yeah, nearly forgot about this show! I'll bring the supercharged Mini and 'longtimenomini' might be attending with his Clubman estate. Keep 2 spaces for us! ;-)

dont kick too hard, the filler in every panel might fall out.

I wont be doing no high vis policing, just gunna take a chair and enjoy seeing some old cars.

windscreen seal leaking so replaced today with a wide seal and new chrome filler.

Washed car afterwards, found water dripping from heater hose inside. Looks like its coming in bonnet, on bulkhead and down the NS heater pipe. This is because previous owner cut away the "rain channel" at the top corners of the bonnet to fit bonnet locking pins as the bonnet is "lift off". I may have to knock something up to remake the channel.
