the V5 is non treasferable and is owner by the DVLA

if the shell is that bad you might get £50 from the scrap man

Every mini out there is restorable as basically every part is available.

Though that is true, some of them are way beyond economic repair.

If you advertise it on ebay as you have stated it on here, you will get a lot more than £50 for it. You are doing nothing wrong by selling a rusty old mini with a V5 on ebay
What the new buyer does with it is up to them.

I would say more than £200 thats for sure, if the car is complete the scrap value alone will be around £100. But thats not really what we are discussing here is it??? :shifty:

i'm sure its gotta be worth a lot more than scrap if its got a v5. It's amazing what work people do to get them back on the road again. I would try ebay. would be good to see another mk1 on the road

is it just a basic 850 or something special, the other thing, is it a V5 or one of the old buff logbooks that seem to be flooding the ebay market?

I really dont get this stupid argument thats constantly going on here about why you shouldn't re-shell minis because it promotes theft etc. If a thief wants to nick a car, they will. No amount of people telling them you're not allowed to do this and that is going to stop them, and none of us on here are thieves or car criminals!

I don't see any difference between re-shelling with a heritage shell or a good used one, they're both the exact same lump of pressed metal!!! Perhaps if the DVLA let you tell them and ok'd it it would make the system more pleasing to some...

assuming the shell was 'straight' and leaving something to work with, I'd give you £200-300 for it. more if certain areas are okay and depending on what comes with it
