Holy thread revival!!! Iam still going but my second year at uni was intense!!! Got three weeks before i start an internship down south, so trying to get much done as possible before then.

THe project has taken on a different theme now. Just bought a honda crv yesterday and already stripped the diff and propshaft so going to go down the awd route as i am wanting more power, so figure every bid of rubber helps with the power.

Peace

Any one of you bright sparks got little tricks on how to fit a turbo behind a standard roundnose? I will be looking at a turbo in the future, but want to do the fabricatipon work now.

Hey folks. I havent posted here in a very long time.

I have still been slowly progressing with the car however.

I have come across something which is baffling me and am wondering whether anyone has come across this before?

The O/S front wheel sits well into the a panel atleast 40mm more than the N/S.

The frame is an allspeed lump and the tie rods and bottom arms are equal length and the coilovers are set at equal height.

N/S wheel gap

O/S wheel gap.

If anyone can shed any light on this I would highly appreciate it.

Rob

measure your set back.

the distance between the center line of the wheels each side.

this will show you where the issue may be.

looks like you have the heavy bits fitted I would get the corner weights set and alignment done.

then you will know you are cutting body around wheels that are in the right place.

Hi mate, thanks for your speedy response.

Whats the best way to measure the setback then?

I had it done on a 4 wheel alignment rig.

but chalk and a tape measure can work as well.

it all depends on what access you have.

let us presume that the rear wheels are on the same centerline that is also perpendicular to the center of the car then the center of each front wheel should be the same distance from the rear.  that is what you need to check.
