All of these minis being stolen is making me extremely angry now.
They are an asset to England and the rest of the world so this is what im proposing.

I want everyones Registration Number Plate so we can get a big list together of the minis that have been stolen, i also would like the date it was stolen,

If you can do this for us that would be ace.

I am appraoching the news about it on radio and TV.
My mini is still safe and i really do feel for everyone out there.

If anybody wants to help me do this, I am situated in the Worcestershire area.

Dont worry if you havnt got a pic, just describe it.
Just to keep it organsied, Please reply with:

Registration Number Plate:
Date/approx date it was stolen:
Model of Mini:
Picture/description:

Why do you need a chassis number?
The police will have the full vehicle details, these cars will be most likely, stripped down ready for the autojumbles next year
Keep an eye out at bingley

just look in the mini chat or classified section mini owners are still happy to buy second hand shells with no ID no questions asked

it's us mini owners that cause the thefts

it's not ford owners buying up mini parts

Is it really an issue we want to give wider attention to?

Who's more likely to act on it, relatively disinterested members of the public, or scumbags happy to exploit any opportunity to make easy money?

having it put out on the radio etc makes people aware that it is happening,

if you think im being stupid delete this topic.
i never said anything about certain people to blame, there still being stolen whether or not to be sold on, kept etc.

Will I like your idea

More people that know the better... There might just be a scrappy somewhere that has no idea and might be getting mini parts in for money

Who knows

Go for it mate!

Scrappers pay scrap metal prices, and there aren't that many yards. So if you want the honest ones to keep a look out, it would be better to ask them directly rather than hope they hear you on a local radio station.

yes very true, but at the same time a lot dont care its business for them, this is for other people who might of seen something and not reported it because they had no idea about the problem.
me and my friend had the cops called in on us because we were pushing mine of his drive early in the morning, they thought we were stealing it, the reason they were called was because they heard about this of theminiforum!
