If anyone is heading out to track day post it in here and maybe others can go along with theirs or even just to spectate.

I will kick it off with this:

RAF Marham Charity Track Day: http://www.marhamtra...-track-weekend/

Cheap as chips, they swap directions at lunchtime so you get even wear.

That looks like a good day out and cheap to boot. I need to extract the digit and get a proper second silencer for mine so I can get in to the 98db days. Its not the static tests that are the problem its the drive by's as my charger is on its bypass when being held at constant revs, when its what on the track its a very different story..........The Nurburg is on my list of stuff to do but I dont think I can do this May - enjoy....

Yeah its the cheapest track day Ive booked lol would rather open pitlane but itl still be a good day out, my mates also have a garage so if you do, pop down and say hello!
Did Donnington park in October, amonth after I bought the mini and was standard, was funny but slid around too much on those skinny wheels! by this one though the whole suspension will have changed, new wheels and 4pots!

Looking forward to feeling the difference!

Well I went and had a good time, right up until the point that my boot lid came undone, it doesn't sound much but the strap that holds the boot open in normal circumstances snapped and then the lid dropped to the ground, in doing this it bent some bodywork and cracked my diffuser, whilst it was dragging down the road it ruined the boot handle, got stone chipped to death and the exhaust melted the paint. It will be fixed in a few weeks, just an expense I could have done without.

Anyhooo, footage was taken and its up on YouTube:

Joss, its a 98db day, that's the static test. As yours is naturally aspirated the drive by shouldn't be too bad. My problems arise from the supercharger as it passes statics easily but when on the gas it's really freekin loud. I know the drive by limit is 100db for a 105db static test so I am guessing when I say that the drive by would be approx 92db for a 98db static day.

If you have a track near by drop in and ask if they will static test it for you, drive by would be a bit more difficult.

The thing to do at Goodwood is not be hard on the gas when you come out the chicane and pass the start finish line as that's where they drive by test you with a hand held noise meter. There are microphones all the way round the track but they take there main reading from the hand held as it has been calibrated recently.

Joss I know you're not attending this now as you don't have a mini any more (sorry to remind you) but I went and checked with the marshal's and the drive by is 96db for a 98db static day
