Thought this may be of interest to those with cars from the early 80's?
I have just received my MSA mag which states that the new category 4 is approved and comes into force from Jan 2014. Cars need very little prep for historic road rallies so could appeal to a whole new bunch of people who's cars were previously too young?
Other reg changes are:
It looks like Cat 3 cars 1975 to 1981 can now compete for overall awards rather than be limited to class awards. The reference to not being able to compete for overall being now struck through in the rules.
Cat 4 cars must comply with their FIA Group A or N homologation papers
The need for Cat 3 cars to have a valid Historic Rally Vehicle Identity Form (HRVIF). Is also now not required. It still reads that cat 3 cars can only use homolgated modifications though.
