Thank you !

i have fitted the bonnet once, but i was not all that happy with the gaps. down near the grill there was only a very small gap. (around 3mm) but near the windscreen surround it was far form that. (around 8 mm)   - so I'm thinking little on grinding the wing a little where it meets the innerwing..

i don't have a pic of it. but i can take one later or tomorrow

i had this problem also, i ground the lip of the wing to pull the gap in worked out ok, although i had the gaps set at 4 - 5 mm. i also had to panel beat the wing around the scuttle area to accommadate 'pushing the wings in'.

with regards the A panel.  the contact lip between wing and a panel i plug welded every 50mm, may be over the top but better that than it coming apart. were the a panel is folded around the door pillar i but a little stitch weld approx 5-10mm every 75mm sprayed with etch primer and then tiger sealed all joints.  hope this helps

So new update, i started one with welding the front after weeks of adjusting. finally I'm happy with the gaps.

i just blasted these, so i could trial fit the subframe

IMG_4293_zps4a724495.jpgIMG_4434_zpsdb42c70d.jpg

almost the same

IMG_4435_zps73badadb.jpg

this was the old gaps. IMG_4310_zps37814e36.jpgIMG_4563_zps5eeb3965.jpgIMG_4564_zps0fc59b19.jpg

straightened the inner wings and made holes in them

IMG_4580_zps3f13c7fc.jpg

i finally got happy the gaps by welding the thiny spot between my front wings to the scuttle. near the bonnet. and then strapping them down to the right position.

happy ! so i started :) :D

Hope you guys enjoy !

Very nice work, I'm hopefully going to start work on my Mk3 this weekend.
The weather has finally turned nice so I can get outside, unfortunately I don't have a garage or workshop which certainly helps when trying to restore these Minis.

Thank you both very much, glad you're enjoying :)

MR J

do you have currently ? :)

jpw1275

Thats kinda like me, mine was taken apart by me and my father about 7 years ago(when i was 14 years old), and then he didn't have time for it. So i just got my own garage and started September 2013 :)  - i just wanted a Mini for IMM '14 :)

I really hope that the pictures will help you out, the 3mm square iron tubes really work'd well on mine :)

Kind regrads Nino :)

This is looking great. You have made good progress on the bodywork. I struggled a bit on mine and i had a lot less panels to replace.
