I am 18, 19 when my insurance is up for renewal and I get my first years no claims.. I want to insure my mini as a weekend car and my Vauxhall Corsa 1.3cdti as my daily car, how do I get around this being so young and what insurance companies can I give a try? im currently with Privilege but they had me over when my mini engine went I HAD to change insurances to my corsa to get too and from work... charged me a extra near on thousand pound. loooooooool :xxx:

Hi!!

I too have two cars, I wanted to do something similar to you but because of age (I'm 20) it's just not going to happen! What works out cheapest for me is to have the no claims on my daily and none on the mini and use a multicar provider!!!

I have two cars.

Ones a 3 litre Austin Westminster that I used as my daily for a year and was quoted by Herts HIC £1700 which was pretty cheap in my eyes for a new driver on a 3 litre, problem was I didn't realise that classic no claims doesnt work on a normal policy and got screwed over when I insured my 1.5 306, Managed to get it down to £1300 eventually but without no claims it was £2500+. I Paid my 106 of in full but if I was to pay both on finance it would come to under £200 a month for 10 months

its a joke aint it :( insurance prices these days make it so hard for young drivers! hopefully I can get both the 1.3corsa and the 1.3 mini for under 2k, ill be happy! I don't want to use the mini as a every day car! just for shows/meets etc

brilliant cars, the 200 series are probable rovers best production line, other then the 420 turbo, I love that car so much!

my rover ( my dads but given to me ) was so powerful it bent the wings or would spit out the drive shafts every time you put your foot down ahahah! heavily moded! one day ill have that on the road

Not actually sure this year as the whole family use it, but got quotes for renewal and both the mini and my daily will be about £500 for both of them!! There's 4 cars on there (2 sports cars, and my two) and the whole policy is about £800...

Im 20 and had 2 cars since i was 18, was expensive at first but now im 20 its around £1200 for the 2 with adrian flux. Its good because you build no claims on 2 policies.
