Advice On Insuring 3 Or More Cars

Anyone on here got a policy that covers several cars?

 

At the moment I've got 3 policies, which seems a bit daft, especially as I can only drive one at a time

 

... and I'm also in the habit of going out any buying a car on a whim.

 

Can you get a 'traders' policy as a private individual?  ... or any other suggestions?

From my Dads experience, its cheaper to go traders depending on what cars you have!

 

if your going for more powerful but not OTT cars to the point the insurance covers that car then traders..

 

he had, Two work vans, Toyota Supra, Rover Turbo on his + his cars he was car dealing!

thanks, but I'm not self employed or a trader.

My mate used to have a traders policy.

Unsure if this is for all traders policy's but he was only covered for cars he didn't own.

They need to make it easier to insure more than 1 car...i will hopefully have 2 on the road soon but i know i will struggle to insure the second one without being able to use my NCD

actually not too sure on this, my dad had his own company etc.. but my friends dad doesn't and still has the policy? not got a diggery doo

I think Shifty has mentioned having a policy with Tradex.

 

Perhaps contact them and explain your situation and see if they can help?

it's personal fleet tradex do, or something similar.

 

as for traders policies plod and insurers are more than wise to people scamming them, have seen a few people have cars seized that they have been driving on a traders policy.
