I bought a mini off of eBay for £350 quid got it home and began to strip it got it down to a bare shell and put it on a roll over jig and put together a panels list, i cried a little bit i would need the following  

 

Front end

scuttle panel

inner wings

a post 

a panels

door skin 

door bottoms

full floor 

door sills

quatre panels

back panels 

boot floor

valence

so i decided at this point as the boot floor was already falling out it i would turn it into a z car

 

Heres the mini when i picked it up

plans

 

my plans for the mini are as follows

 

carbon fiber

roof exposed weave

arches exposed weave

doors 

bonnet 

front end

valence

boot

 

Other parts

force racing wheels

all new chrome work

new lights all round 

6 point harnesses

all poly windows

unsure on colour probably metallic blue of some sort maybe the fiesta st180 blue

 

Body work

standard on the outside apart from wheels chrome roof arches etc

smoothed inner wings

smooth bulkhead with hidden washer bottle, wiper motor and all wiring tucked and out of view

stripped out inside no carpets 

all unused holes in shell with be weilded and smoothed going for a simple clean look

 

 

i have the z car kit on order and should be going to collect it in a week cannot wait 

i have ordered

vtec race frame

k20 recon engine

front subframe kit

wilwood pedal box

wilwood 6 pots

 

 

will be ordering looms and everything to finish the car as soon as i have sold my other car

i have done something different to the driver side inner wing which i will transfer to the passenger side soon because it looks better

 

Today i also bought:

 

a new floor

a back panel with mk1 light conversion

and a scuttle with surround

plus a quick steering rack

got a bit carried away with the grinder removing some seams and some reinforcers. as well as blanking off the air inlet pipe.

just need to copy what i have done on this side to the other side

Unless I've missed something somewhere along the thread you won't be able to use that plate? If the mini is still an 86 as per yiur first post "D" is the newest year you can use as you can't make a car look newer. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news if that is the case, but cracking work on everything else and keep it up.
