Barn Find 1275 Gt Original But Rotten - Whats It Worth ?

The GT you have got looks like Denim Blue to me, and for £400 that's a bargain. I guess it is a '79 or '80 as it has a square type chassis plate on the left hand inner wing.

Those other seats you posted a picture of look like Clubman estate seats.

Cheers for the info , i must admit however that the images i took of the GT probably make it look better than it is !

I will update the images when i get the car home which should be this week .

Any idea what parts would be most valuable on the car if it turns out to be beyond repair ?

I can't see it being beyond repair. Even a really bad one would be worth restoring.

Looking again it apears to have driprails

Could be a MK3.5 GT ? Although it has single bolt subframe and it does look Denim blue, which is a later 70s MK4 colour.

either way your a really lucky fella.

Really hard to see the true condition under that layer of dust.

The estate looks interesting too.

Quick update on the GT!

I went to check out the car again today prior to arranging collection and am happy to confirm that the chassis numbers and engine numbers all match the logbook . 

I will update further when i get the car home and have a better look at it, watch this space as im sure i will need your valued help & advise 

The car is showing 66,000 miles with old mots to back it up and has 3 previous owners (the current owner purchased the car in this condition 3 years ago).

Yeah he wants £1500 , i was tempted just for the parts really like the rims,spax,seats etc...then sell on the car as standard .He wont budge on price though!
