So, after having a mini stolen less than a year ago, I came out of the house today to find Old Blyty in a very sorry state. Passenger door frame wrenched back, deep gouges and dents everywhere. Passenger rear window ripped out and missing. Krooklock still in situ, but the whole wheel and steering column bent and twisted. My pedal to steering wheel lock also held up well. Without them, my beaut would've been taken. After a phone call and a two hour drive I left him at Minisport for some major repairs. Aviva will cover it, minus my £350 excess, but I fear for its future. I have no garage or driveway and something tells me I may have to let him go to a home that can keep him secure....

Really sorry to hear this. There are some total c*cks around.
I hope that you come up with a solution to allow you to keep your Mini.
Might it be worth advertising locally to see if anyone has a garage available to rent nearby?

what a nice mini, what the hell can you do to stop it

when they do things like that. good job insurance

paying for it. but whats for the future with no garage

I wouldn't have mine if I didn't have a garage

I suppose thats where a good burglar system would help

Bloody hell they had a right go at him didn't they. It shows though what you had fitted did help to prevent him from being whisked away. Gits. :xxx:  :xxx:

When it comes back you need something that makes a lot of noise as well.

Absolutely disgusting! Glad they didn't take him though! Put an alarm on connected to a train horn, that will teach them and you will soon find the buggars when they go to the local doctors or A&E with a burst eardrum!

Glad they didn't get it but what absolute scum. I don't know what I'd do if someone did that to my pride and joy, bar go on a bounty hunt. Hope they're caught soon!

It's sad to see your car molested in this way, but quite reassuring that simple mechanical devices used correctly defeated the some-what amateurish attempts at theft.

Knowbody ever seems to see it going on either. Countless times my garage has been broke into, but not yet with the mini in,and I never seem to hear or catch the barstards. I've upped my game and next time hopefully catch em at it and get the old pick axe handle treatment.
