hey all, saw your stand at the showdown but didn't get a flyer because i was in the works van
Quite enjoyed gettin woken up by the wurzels though, different to the sound of an A series being ragged from cold anyway
i was over with minifinity.com next door to manchester minis.
Nick.

Hey Bud666 seems we are quite famous for our wurzles antics, early in the morning now. Do you have a mini?

yeah i have a mini, well its been living in the garage since the week before showdown. i got one of the pistons slightly warm
should be back on the road and run in for MITP hopefully, just waiting on the short engine from morspeed.
Anywhere i can chuck some pics? its a 91 cooper turbo.

it was standard, only had it running for 6 weeks before i melted a piston due to not visiting a rolling road.
i've got an intercooler to put on the next one though, straight cut drops, centre pick up, N/A MG cam, hopefully around 8.5:1 CR so i should be able to up the boost a bit, not too much though because its still going to have the standard head and box for now. i'll be happy with anything over 100bhp though just as long as its nice and smooth.
The engines are getting hard to get hold of now. i wouldn't use an MG turbo lump again anyway because they've all been ragged. Just get hold of the turbo setup (carb/turbo/dizzy etc) and stick it on a low comp 1275 lump. best thing to go for would be an old granny's metro thats never been over 2k rpm

Thanks for the advice
I spose you will be gandering over the turbo section a bit, and i like your fuelling layout, looks good.

hehe, i wish those were my diagrams. they're from a chap called jukka, he sent them me to show me how to run the fuel return without having to modify the fuel tank.
