I wanted to know who would be the best insurer to deal with? I have an 87 Park Lane in original condition that will only be used as a fun/occasional drive car (less than 3000 miles a year). Would like an agreed value cover as I think the car is pretty rare now. Any recommendations?

Adrian flux have always been good for me, you have to phone them as they don't do online quotes

Would rather smash my man handle in a car door than go with flux. They're an awful brokers. Great to give you a good price, but their service after is not worth the paper their certificate is printed on.

Chris Knott is a fantastic broker. Trusted throughout the modified car world and VERY good with classics. I had all my evo's insured with them, you pay a little more than the large insurance companies, but they have a very personal service and had pictures and spec lists of all my cars and gave an agreed value.

It's always worth getting quotes from several places. There are so many factors that your best quote may well not come the same source as someone else's. Do consider reports of good or bad service though, you only find out what you've bought if you are unlucky enough to have to make a claim.
