Mini R1 Insurance Advice

Hi, I'm new to site and seeking a little bit of advice off you guys.
I'm considering buying a mini r1 and wondered if anyone on here had one that could shed any light on running costs and insurance.
I'm 32 have 9 years no claims bonus at the moment. Basically I'm wondering if anyone has some estimates or comparisons on what their insurance was on a modded mini or the r1 conversion.

With cars like this a lot comes down to types of vehicle insured before. If you have no recent history of performance cars then you will pay far more than someone who has. I haven't insured an r1 mini but have no issues with modified cars due to my experience.
