That satin finish to the paint looks really good!

made a start with things on the bulkhead, started out with making a clutch pipe and installing the rubber thingy on the gear linkage.

then put the foam in, not easy to get in i must say. it just sticks to everything and doesnt like being corrected.

after that installed the fuse box and inlet manifold.

also sanded the fuel tank, which will get a new coat of black.

Looking good -you might find that the rubber thingy on the gear linkage acts like a spring and pops your gearbox out of reverse, in which case you can either cut one ridge off it or discard it altogether. Shame to cover the lovely paintwork on the bulkhead - I can't bring myself to do it, just keep earplugs handy!

thanks, will keep that in mind :)

at first i wasnt going to cover the bulkhead, but there are a few runners in the paint, i guess that made me change my mind :P

At least there will always be pictures of it  :D

Hello Chaps,

Eventhough there werent pictures to share, I have been working on the mini.

I've installed the wiring loom, installed a temporary tank and cranked the engine to see if i have oil pressure.

All is well, expect that there is no fuel in the front, I can hear the pump but no fuel in front.. (maybe someone swapped the + and -)

thats something i will figure out next weekend.

Also had a few things painted:

fuel pressure issue is sorted, just sucking the fuel to front did the job, i guess if there's air in the pump its doesnt build up enough pressure or something like that.

the engine runs! i have a video but dont see an option for uploading. ( find it here between my images: https://myalbum.com/album/233YVEKrGz49 )

after starting it (without a cooling system) i made a start on fitting the radiator.

I looks really nice, but this radiator is a pain to fit. I had to adjust the radiator bracket so the radiator comes in a bit more.

It still is touching the inner wing though, for now ill just leave the piece of cardboard to prevent damage.
