I have to say, that apparently they had a system failure on weds but they were still able to take my money 2 days previous to this and have only got round to posting it out today.... not good service and no contact to tell me that they had a system outage... it took for me to ring up and be told that they couldn't tell me anything...normally great service, someone needs to sort out their computer systems if they are have catastrophic system failure, sounds very much like they need to get more than one server and a backup mirror system in case.

Placed an order last week, hoping it would arrive before the weekend so I could fit the bits I ordered during my days off. Now back at work with no parts and as above my card has been charged. I know it should arrive this week, but still a little annoyed as usually they are so good. I contacted Simon on reference my TMF+ discount renewal and he mentioned something about a system failure to.

I messaged him on the 15th so I must have placed my order around then. Or just before I selected standard delivery not express but as I say they are normally quite quick.

Back in October 2018:
I placed an order on the 6th
Got an invoice from Minispares on the 8th
And a "will be delivered today" notice from DHL on the 9th

And I'm on the other side of the pond in NYC!

Maybe they down-staffed since then?

having similar issues lately. Being in the states my initial thoughts were it would take a while for items to get to me but that wasn't the case. I could order Monday and have my parts by Wednesday of the same week. Lately when I order now it goes a few days before my order has even processed, shipping time through DHL has stayed consistent though.

I am currently waiting on a box of spare parts (Ordered last Monday) to bring with my on a week long mini rally next week and as far as I know it has been marked shipped but I have not received notification from DHL and can't get tracking from minispares. my window is closing very fast if I expect to have them in time for my trip. To make matters worse DHL requires signature and there won't be anyone available to sign for them should they show up when I am gone.

I like using mini spares because the prices are great (even with shipping included) compared to what I can get stateside but I feel I may need to be on the hunt for other shops when I need stuff quickly... even though my most recent issue I felt I left plenty of time for the parts to arrive.

Yes I have emailed mini spares about this but have only been told it would leave shortly (this was last week) and today their systems are down apparently...

I got my parts last Friday, ordered April 8,  In their system April 9, in my hands April 19, 11 days later.

I agree, part of the problem is that we got used to such stellar service - order Sun night, in my hands in the US Wed night - hard to believe!

I've been having some issues with DHL lately too. The first one was a really large delivery from Spares - the young man carried the box up my driveway dribbling parts out of the box he was carrying......later I found one thing missing - they took a week to look for it and then told me to file a claim with Mini Spares when they couldn't find it. It was a $10 item so I just let it go.

Order before this one it was marked out for delivery by the end of the day. didn't come. I called to ask what was going on they said no one was home when they tried to deliver. BS. I'm retired, I was home all day that day.

This time, same thing happened, different excuse - they said they could not get to my house - like I'm in a gated community or something - which I'm not. Again the parts were delivered the next day.

Don't know what's going on with them, i's not like we're in the holiday season or anything here.

Jeffster06, you going to the dragon?

On signing for parts....DHL used to offer a text service, they would text you and ask if it was ok to just leave stuff at your door (which is fine in my 'hood, might not be so in others) if you text back "yes" they would take that in lieu of a signature. They don't seem to do that anymore......

Yep gonna be there starting Sunday. Was hoping to have this last package of parts just incase I need them... not looking promising though.... holding onto hope it gets shipped tomorrow I have had luck with Wednesday shipments arriving Friday.

I have used the text option in the past the issue is theres no telling how cell service will be when I'm in the mountains. I havent had issues leaving stuff out in my neighborhood but I'm usually not gone that long after stuff arrives.

Have a great time, I've been there a couple of times....nothing like 5-600 Minis all gathered at one spot!

This will be my ninth year going... its going to be my first in a classic though so I figure the roads will feel a little different.

Side note contacted mini spares again today and it seems the system is still down... not looking good for me. Just frustrating that they had no issue charging my card last week and marking the order as shipped when it has yet to leave their warehouse.

wow that's a long wait. I ended up ordering the parts from a state side vendor that can get them to me by the end of the week. Tried to cancel my order with minispares but because it has already invoiced that was not possible and I was told it may even already be in transit... I don't believe that though because DHL always sends me a text message once the tracking number is created.

I am sorry, we have had huge issues with servers over the last fortnight. Worst possible timing over the holiday period, we are catching up at the moment. Please bear with us

I'm suffering some disappointment on the comms front too I'm afraid. Order placed over the weekend (holiday season so obviously not being processed - no problem) but I've had no order update, no phonecall and no emails about it or any delays. I called twice today but couldn't get an answer so I left a message asking for a call back.

IT issues are a potential nightmare so I really do have some sympathy. However, if the guys do at least know about affected orders, then a bit of feedback on delays or problems would be great.

My previous order was much slower than expected and this one is looking even worse... :(
