I've tried desperately to look for someone else having this issue on this forum but as of yet i haven't found anyone
I brought a 1989 Austin mini around 3 years ago as a first proper car project having no idea what i was doing and after stripping everything down (more to look at everything and see how it works than to fix anything) however i'm now trying to fit a new slave cylinder and the angle looks way off. Can someone more experienced have a look at the pictures and confirm if i have missed something or is there something else that needs amending?
Below is the arm as far up as it will go:

and finally this is if the pin is pushed in, and you can see it looks like the whole slave cylinder is at the wrong angle:

Is this just me? are they all like that? please someone put me out of my mystery. With this and the ball joints i'm ready to pack it all in and burn the lot! (Obviously joking. Simon the mini is not going anywhere)
