I've got a Toad alarm fitred. Had it done by an approved installer so the insurance would be happy. It's been on for a few years now and been fine. I've got the bonnet switch fitted but the door switches aren't. The wires are there but left unconnected. All of a sudden the alarm just keeps going off. The bonnet is permanently open because I'm working on it but to be honest it's been like that for months. The only thing that's changed is that I've just fitted a new dash and dials. I've connected a clock to a permanent 12v off the ignition and a switched 12v for a voltmetre but haven't touched any other wiring.
Do you think the alarm could be detecting the power drain and thinking the car is trying to be stolen?
I've had to pull the car battery out or it's disturbing the whole neighbourhood and can't reconnect it or it kicks off immediately.
Any ideas?
