Hi

Not a problem, the car is at my Dad’s, I’ll been there tomorrow and I’ll measure it for you.

Hi

Thank you just finished the others side Mk1 light panel and couple of others bits today, feels great seeing it all sold metal again.

You wouldn't be able to tell me what height the roof is off the ground whilst on the rotisserie?

So the hight of the car on the jig is just under 1.8meters, hope that helps

Evening all

A little update on the Classic Mini Mk1 Conversion project for anyone interested. This week is giving a bit more explanation and showing how we’ve done the Mk1 rear light conversion panels and also getting the Mk1 rear quarter panel fitted. Looks much better with the rear quarter fitted, looking forward to getting the next step of the build done.

I have a small favour to ask of anyone who can help, does anyone have or can get us an accurate measurement of the width of the gap in the shell for the Mk1 rear window, I have a template of the glass being made but I just wanted to be double sure of the gap before I weld in the infill panels. I appreciate it’s a bit of a difficult thing to measure but I was thinking of the measurement straight across without the curve for the window as this would be almost impossible to measure. Any help with this is really appreciated.

Thanks
Mark.

These might help! I’m pretty sure that I have the rear screen size written down somewhere (probably in imperial...).

Liking the videos. Good build & informative. Remember this Mini parked on the grass heading towards Stocksfield. Stopped one day to take a few photos of it but got distracted by another Mini purchase.

That’s great that you recognised it, will definitely look a bit different from how it did once it’s done. Have you still got the one you bought instead?

Evening all

I didn’t realise how long it had been since the last update I had made on this thread, we’ve made a bit of progress in the last few weeks. Here is the next episodes. These also include the door top filler panel which a few people have wondered about how we were going to make.
