So to install my mechanical oil gauge I got the T piece adapter so I could keep my idiot light. Now I can see I will never be able to screw in both the sensor and the hose... The oil pipe to the filter is in the way!!

How do I get around this, or has anybody any ideas?

Okayyyyy, just saw it! I was just wondering if it could influence the reading but since it's a closed circuit it obviously couldn't. If I did like on the pic attached would that work? Only thing is that the adapter piece is not super tight (it is tight but still has some room to be tightened further but then the hose wouldn't fit!)

Whoops apparently no image attached! Obviously the sensor and hose have to be tightened, my concern is with the T piece itself..

The part that screws into the block put some ptfe tape round the screw thread if needed , same on switch. Think the side piece has fibre washers to help seal , same has the one that goes on the back of the gauge. You don't have to have them ultra tight just pinched up
