Mike's Cg10 Engine Swap

As usual I have been lazy when it comes to this project. Not from lack of working on the car, I've actually got quite a bit done on it, just regarding editing videos together.

 

 

Good news: I have invested in a mic so hopefully sound quality should improve.

 

Bad news: The next episode and parts of the next two, after that, have already been filmed before it arrived.

So the next episode is in the (slow) process of being edited. In the meantime I have started wiring the Mini.

 

I hoping someone might be able to help me. Many moons ago for reasons I can't remember I had to de-pin the plug on the lambda sensor. In order to make sure it went back together correctly I took some photos and therein lies my problem. For the life of me I can't find the photos I took.

 

Can someone tell me what order the pins are to go in to the connector.

 

 

Annoyingly I have another K11 Micra in my possession at the minute but its the later coil pack type engine and the lambda sensor has 4 wires coming out of it and not three.

So I figured it out. Black wire is the signal and goes to the middle, the white are heater element so shouldn't matter which way round they go.

Glad you worked it out, just found some pics on my phone of my sensor but not sure how to upload them at the moment

Finishing making this part this evening, Any guesses where it goes?

 

On top of the bulkhead, where the heater hose passes through?

What's the additional bracket for - Engine steady?

Also MichaelH is correct about the location for that part. As for the other bracket built into it, I guess you'll just have to keep watching to find out (its not an engine steady)

All have been addressed in the next episode which is currently being edited.

I'm sorry to keep you all waiting on the next episode but the Project Peddlers HQ has been getting some much needed upgrades.

You might also notice that the channel has had a bit of rebranding. Don't worry. All the old videos are still there, there is still a lack of time, lack funds and lack of garage/driveway space. Nothing else has changed.
