I have now removed the engine and tried to turn over and it is stuck solid. Could there be something in the dizzy drive that is stuck. Also to note when removing the engine it tipped forward and oil came out the hole where dizzy would be, again would this cause it to seize? Thanks for any advice

It sounds like the distributor drive shaft has dropped into the gearbox.

If its still there you can fish it out with a 5/16 unf bolt. If it is in the bottom of the box you can remove the speedo drive housing and hopefully get it out with a bit of shaking and a magnetic stick. Failing that its off with the gearbox which may not be a bad thing to check for damaged teeth etc.

There's nothing behind that

Without the dizzy fitted, yes oil will come out of the dizzy hole if you tip the block forwards.

It will have jumped out of mesh when it pushed the dizzy out. If it hasn’t gone back properly then it could be jamming the cam or crank. Remove it and reinstall it as per the manual.
