Sounds like a possible issue with the hydraulic system, if it's slow to return it could be causing clutch slip.
Slave free?
Clutch pedal pivot free?
Clutch master push rod fouling cross member not allowing fluid return to reservoir?
Clutch pedal clevis pin free?
Flexi hose ok?

So the high spring rate is required to push the slave cylinder back then.

Yep absolutely everything is brand new and moves freely. Including my OBP pedal box with integrated master cylinders.

How much is the arm moving at the slave?
what bore size is the clutch MC?
At least half an inch, maybe more.
Hmm that's a good question. I can't remember off the top of my head, and OBP have changed their website so I can no longer see which one's came with it. I'll get out there this eve and report back.
Have you found out what the bore size is yet?

Ah yeah I have, I think. It has a 7 cast in the side. I'm not sure what that means though?

Get a picture. Could it be a 0.7. Is there a coloured cable tie on it? What make.
here the colour of the tie is used to show bore size.

Just been out to grab this photo. Not easy as it's all tucked up under my dash, so excuse how messy it is! Not sure why the pic is enormous lol. The letter C was to remind me which one OBP recommended for the clutch. No tag's I'm afraid, they didn't come with them.

Ok just been on OBP website and it looks like they measure their bore sizes in inches, mine is 0.7"

Mmm drop them a mail and ask them what the bore sizes are. For all the MCs they have sent you. It would be good to know and there is no info on their web page. Or how to ID what bore size they are.

I had a dig around on their site and it turns out they measure them in inches, and mine is 0.7".

Sorry. Mmmm not sure what the original Mini diameter is (can’t find the info/looking in the wrong place) but the KAD kit comes with a 0.75 MC. And I have had no issues. A smaller MC bore could affect things. Years since I looked at hydro systems in depth.

No worries. I'll keep it in mind as an option, they do them in sizes up to an inch too. This setup ran flawlessly on my old 1275, and technically the only change is the upgrade to an orange diaphragm.
Could the juddering when pulling away be linked to this? It's literally impossible to pull away smoothly no matter what the rpm is. Or is that just down to the new clutch plate?
