Hi Everyone,

Has anyone got a A+ straight cut or clubman gear set?

Knocking around or set in a gearbox?

Thanks

Lucas

Buy new. John Guess sells them at a very reasonable price.

I bought a used set and discovered that the second gear taper for the baulk ring was so worn I had to chuck it out and buy a new one. Not such a cheap option I'm afraid. Wish I'd bought new from John.

No harm in asking.

It's a useful warning about the possible pitfalls, but unless there's a deal to consider you can't say if it's not worth considering.

thanks I'm aware that there is a risk with buying second hand or not brand new but I've also brought multiple things over the years that haven't been absolutely brand new but are just old stock and similar that people have kept for an old project and just not used.

What a helpful reply for someone wanting to buy a used set.
