Will not let air out on the move.

Manufacturers put the heater/fresh air vents in the scuttle as it is a high pressure area,or so I was told,Steve..

They also tend to close off the wheel arch areas from the engine bay

does this work? back in the day people jacked up rear of bonnet but mixed reviews whether it worked to vent air or not due to windscreen rake, interested to know before cutting into my bonnet

That does not work as a vent on a Mini.

as said by Mr Vizard and proven in the wind tunnel. It also creates lift.

Agreed,
Bonnet lifts---

It only lets out excess heat when stationary,
When at speed there is a high pressure zone at base of windscreen so doesn't
Let out any air :-)

cheers for that, as for binky design bulkhead would get full of water, need to get heat from turbo at rear of engine. ceracote exhaust, turbo blanket, exhasut wrap but any other way of venting heat? dont want to remove inner wing as then rad innefficient ideas?

Need to let air easily out from between inner wing and wing. The panel is in the way. Vent that.
