Is thee an easy way to remove this assembly please. Pulled the two round bezels off, The top half of the casing comes away but is firmly fixed on the bottom so cannot remove it., Do i have to take all the dash  trim off and remove the screws at the back.?

I only ned to take it off to check out the oil pressure light. Bulb is good but does not light up when installed.

The outer is held by clips at top and bottom sides which can be released by a sharp tug on the whole outer. The clips have little lugs that dig into the plastic slots.
The clock unit itself is held by one screw top middle and one on either side bottom

Spot on. Managed to get the bezel off but one clip had dug in so deeply that it broke. no real problem so thanks for the info.

As mentioned only taking it out to sort out oil pressure light. bulb is good but no light, printed circuit sheet looks prerfect with no burns or breaks and all connections look good. have a new oil pressure switch so do not suspect that but stumped as to what to check next

Earth the cable at the sender and it should light. If not use the wiring diagram to find live and sender wire at the clocks.Verify there is live at both sides of the lamp and work towards the sender earthing the wire.Very therapeutic task,Steve..

Finding your an idiot not very theraputic. Had choice of two cables to use. One was the rev counter cable other was the oil pressure switch cable. Guess who chose the wrong one and isoilated the oil pressure switch cable by mistake. Lesson learned and problem solved. Thanks all
