Has anyone ever compared the genuine and non genuine scuttle panel fitment from mini spares?
The prices are way apart so Im just wondering if the non genuine is a dodgy fit or not.

The non genuine is one of the panels that I would always avoid.

Some have had success with them but the main drawback over the genuine one is the quality of the pressing.

The non genuine one is not pressed correctly to provide the correct shape for the screen seal to fit nicely against.

Ot barely has a step in it which can cause problems with getting a good seal.

Besides that, they just don't look right.

The heritage panel also has the benefit of having a good amount of screen frame so you can make your join further up as apposed to the non gen which joins too low down for my liking.

The heritage one is just a very good panel and well worth the cost

Avoid like the plaque, they are shocking. As Ben has alluded to the pressings at the end are just wrong so bite the bullet and pay the extra for Heritage.

You wont regret it.

Here’s a shot of Heritage (top), Genuine 1964 (middle) & new Magnum (bottom) scuttles.

The steps in the Magnum panel aren’t nearly as well defined as factory or Heritage and the spacing of them is also wrong. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture looking down the length but in places the steps in the Magnum almost just become a smooth concave radius.

As said above note the bullet and buy a Heritage one.
