People also have opinions - and in no way has there been any 'slating' of the owner, more a general discussion on the looks of the car.

No-one has said that the workmanship is shoddy, or in any way expressed that the owner/seller is wrong to sell the car, they've just said that the car isn't to their tastes and that maybe given the current car market he might struggle to get the asking price for that particular vehicle.

I agree, it is still a Mini, and its certainly very different. I do also think that the autotrader advert could have been better worded - there was only a little bit in the way of a description of the car and nothing really about the work its had done. Another case of a poor sales pitch for a unique vehicle.

"what were they thinking, If only it was a photoshop"

Thats slating.

By positng it up you're inviting comments, The person who posted does not own the car and has posted to invite ridicule.

More than likely, but this thread hasn't descended into an uncontrolled orgy of hate against the car, it's just been a few people saying that they don't like it. Maybe the title isn't the best, so in order to keep the peace I will edit it to something a little less inflammatory.

However people still have opinions and are entitled to air them.

The owner has not posted this for general discussion.

Why are you slating his car? Does he know?

After all its still a mini and its different, maybe not to everyones tastes but does the guy deserve a good public slating session for it?

Think before posting, People do have feelings :)

The point of forums is to discuss and share things.

We're all entitled to our opinions, and people shouldn't be afraid of voicing said opinion for fear of offending someone. I'm tired of this mentality going around where nobody feels that they can say what they think!

Hideous car by the way

i've got a car mag from the 60s in my draw which shows an advert for the front end on that car, it's fibreglass and cost something like £36 back in 1966, lol
it's amazing how many minis there are in tehse old mags, loads of add ons and mods to buy, like this one

"Speedwell BMC tuning kit"
"0-60 - 27% faster! cost - £27
"Here's what you get - additional SU carb, speedwell inlet manifold, twin air entry ram stacks, heavy duty swedish steel valve springs, supertone 85silencer."
"max speed from 72.2 to 79mph -- 0-60 from 26.5 to 19.3s"

and all for £27 lol, just thought i'd share that sorry.

well i quite like it, excuse the big box on the back.. infact say it had the riley elf back , with a similar kinda style at the back to the front , and lowerered at the back to match the front, i think it would be a very nice car.
