Making an Arm Rest to match the interior but need the "Edge Trim" stuff in Cream or Beige, anyone know where I can get some???

As you can see from the photos below, it used to have one but by the time I got my hands on the car it had been removed/scrapped!!!

Material is 5mm thick MDF which I think is a bit thicker than the bought ones?

Cor nice interior! :P

How much do you need? I've got some offcuts you can have for cost of postage in stone beige/cream?

Or try retro retrims!

I've just made a complete new Centre Arm Rest so need a fair bit to trim the edge all the way round (probably need about 8 feet [2.5m]?)

Thanks for the offer, I'll see how expensive it is and may get back to you???

Thought you just needed a bit for the pad on the top and tray didn't realise you were doing the whole thing! Well done you for making one I tried and failed so bought one from custom consoles. Only had to fix it twice so far :dozing: the last time with No More Nails

Make sure you post pic when it's done!

edit:what am i on about, didn't buy it it was a random birthday present from my lovely mum! probably after she witnessed my tears of frustration from being useless at diy ^_^

Yes, they are Jaguar XJS seats. Theye were fitted when I bought the car however, I have had them in and out a few times when doing work on the interior and they are a bit of a "tight" fit so have had to offset them toward the middle of the car as they fouled the door pockets, thus the need to make a "custom" arm rest which needs to be a bit narrower and with a bit more of a taper in it (I also wanted a hinged top and bits and bobs pocket).

I'll post the pics when completed.

Update on Arm Rest progress...................

Got it covered in cream vinyl (the grained "leather" look) and got it 90% finished, just need to find the cream edging from somewhere.

It was a right pig of a job and I don't think I'd do another one? Less stressfull to jusyt buy one from the shows!!! Did think about a Walnutt type one but think it would end up a bit of an expensive bodge !!!!

Anyway, photos below and I'll post the finished arm rest when I get the edging material.

I nipped into Homebase and actually found some "cream" plastic screw caps which I think gives it a nice finish ???

PS - I HATE EVO-STICK NOW, IT GETS BLOODY EVERYWHERE BUT WHERE YOU WANT IT !!!!

PPS - NOTE FOR FUTURE - WHEN WORKING WITH "CREAM" MATERIALS KEEP YOUR HANDS AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE !!!!!

Do they have a website? Googled "Phoenix Supplies" and all I could get was a Yell.com return giving tel and address in Devon.

Bought some 3mm Cream Panel Edge Trim thinking I could "spring" it over 5mm edge but not a hope in hell, bloody right colour as well !!!

Have resorted to buying some 4mm-6mm edge trim in black so will see how it looks, "pooh" probably?? Well, last resort is to paint it when fitted?

Anyway, here's some pics of it in the car, at least it fits (well, nearly)!!

If anyone comes across 4mm to 6mm panel edge trim in a cream, beige or stone colour give me a shout.

I think a black would look nice as it would define the edge more?

Thats just me though.
