This is my new car i picked up around 4 weeks ago, its 93 rover mini rio, its been modified already but its a long way from where i want it to be, i think i'm going for the retro/rally/racing so it should be an interesting result and i can't wait to get started, please look out for updates.

Sorry for the late reply haven't checked this in a while, i have and lcb manifold and link pipe along with a new inlet to fit (i also have a decat kicking around so might fit that for a bit), then its bullet mirrors and new grill (maybe cooper) with buttons i also have some random bits i need to fit like new rear screen seal, new coil and bracket, clear front indicator lenses and i need to do an oil and oil filter change too.

New ht leads, mini sport quickshift and chrome rocker cover with t bars fitted already, along with some major stuff in future, look out for a proper update with pics soon!

Sorry again for the late reply cheers, George.

Thanks, i'm not a major fan myself it was fitted by the previous owner, i'm getting a new grill soon, still not 100% on what style though maybe cooper.

George

Ok so a mini update with some better pics:
Firstly i now have my new maniflow lcb manifold and linkpipe to complete my exhaust set up also with a water heated inlet manifold, its much louder now but still needs more power, no pics as there's not a lot to see.

Chrome door handle's was next on the list so all three were replaced and i fixed the locking mechanism on the drivers door.

Posted Image

Then i decided i really didn't like the orange indicators so i replaced them with clear ones with siver bulbs.

Here's a little pic of the engine at current, i've done a few different things like new ht leats, rocker cover with t bars, and a new coil, there will be much more done in future though.

Also here's a pic of the interior just so you can see how it is at the moment, it's got quite a way to go yet!

And finally i have my new glassfibre mk1 bonnet, this will hopefully be fitted this weekend if minisport kindly sent me 2 more pins! As you can guess this was very annoying as i really want to get this fitted.

Thanks for reading, please comment on anything, it would be greatly appreciated, look out for many more updates soon. Cheers, George. ;D

Yeah that was the same with me... i didnt even have my engine out or anything when i brought mine... i was just brousing ebay one day and stumbled across it... To be honest i couldn't walk away because it was such a bargin! It was £200 including posting and packaging!

The only thing was it was set up to a 1380, but my dad runs 40's on his kit car so he has alot of spare jets we can use to jet it down! :D

Yeah we will do... I am not sure how we are going to do it now because we dont have the engine in the car to know the axact place to cut away! When it comes round to doing it i might ask on here if anyone has any tips.
