obviously this is a common problem, but the haynes manual is just confusing me slightly. my clutch pedal has gone slack and the bite point has gone rite to the floor. its very difficult to dirve so i need to get it sorted. Haynes says that it is an air blockage or somthing, but i dont have a clue how to do it. the removal instructions are a bit dodgy in the old book. does any one have a simple way to do it?? please help

Check your fluid level. If its low, top it up. Look for any signs of a leak like the slave or master cylinder. If no leaks are visible, bleed the clutch. If this makes a difference you either have a faulty slave cylinder or the clutch fluid had absorbed moisture.

If you have a pre verto clutch setup, check the throw out is correct.

Check the clutch arm for any sign of wear on the knuckle.

When a similar thing happened to me, the ball on the end of the clutch arm had bent and almost broken off. Best to check it!
