preferably a 1275

as i currently have to use my mini everyday to get to uni, college, work, or the girlfriends i was thinking about buying a cheap engine and giving it a good clean up and what not so i could just swich them around.
my dad said hel help as he has worked on A series engines before as many of his old cars had this engine.
just wondering if its best to go to a scrap yard n look around for one?

any suggestions?

i need to have a look around wolver-tramp-ton n find some scrapyards see if i can pick one up nice n cheap and cheerfull

you know if your heading into town up the stafford road you go past jaguar and land rover, well theres a little road thats off there runs under a bridge, its just down there mate

whether the engine is still in that mini i am unsure of though, it was a 1000 engine, and could do with a nice clean aha

i think the majority of most mini engines could use a good clean if not more lol

I have a 1098 engine in the classifieds, can be seen running but does smoke and has a gearbox whine, the smoke could be down to just the valve's im unsure, it was standing a long time so that could be the problem. it would come with starter, rad, gearbox, rad surround, every think really other than carb.
