i have recently bought and painted some wood and picket arches.
i have fitted one side and left the other side on to compare.

now im not sure looks best
about 3 people ive asked say they prefer the chrome.
i cant make up my mind, i know the new ones will need rubber strips to finish them off (and mounting properly, they only have 2 screws in at the moment) and a strip down the side off the car.
also i think the car could do with being a bit clean and shinier, it needs a good waxing, then it would match the red slightly more
what do you think please...

Sorry to be unhelpfull but i'm not particularly keen on either, If I had to choose between the two I would go with the chrome jobbies but I reckon a decent set of group 2 arches with the chrome edge strip would look far better than either. More importantly what's going on with your suspension?? It's so high it looks like an off roader!! If you haven't just replaced the cones then it's in serious need of lowering, which of course would improve the look of your mini regardless of which arches you decide upon!!

I think the W&P's would look better with a finishing strip between the body and arch.

How about the W+P painted black as the colour mismatch between the body and the arches draws my eyes to it.

Personally I do not care for chrome arches.

Personally I don't like the chrome. They remind me of the cheap stick on chrome strips, for grey arches.

I like the chrome, but something like this is all about personal preference.

those chrome are like sleeves that slide over the arches under neath. im not sure if they the original arches or if they are bought with the chrome sleeves. im not sure because the arches are an unusual shape, they are wide at the front and get thin almost to a point at the back.
i think that standard arches are more or less the same thickness all the way along.
