Hi all,

I fitted some over riders and corner bars on the rear and the old plastic rear fog fouls the overrider. So i bought a nice new chrome one. question is where have people fitted it, i was thinking perhaps if its just to the centre of the old one it might be to close to the exhaust?

Any pictures?

What side is your fog light mounted? And what exhaust do you have?

Obviously being from Sweden the fog light will be mounted on the LHS of the rear valance, don't know what your lighting regulations are but are different to the UK's so probably would be worth checking with those, but I suspect you may be able to mount it upto and on the centre line of the vehicle.

yip thats right LH side valance and the exhaust is there too!

I would love to put it in the centre line but i have a honking tow bar in the way!

Guessworks good point - I will get the regulations here!

All going well i might swap it to the Rh side!

Imo best place for the fog light is in the rear clusters, so you replace one of the reversing lamps with it. Cleans it up nicely at the back an cheap and easy to do.

You may think it's the best place, but it's also in breach of the UK's lighting regulations... points & fine...

I tucked mine up as far as i could inside the rear bumper using a bracket which i fabricated.....

clearly its easier to do this on a UK spec car where there is no exhaust in the way, but might work on yours?

Hmmm, strange. It passed the mot so suits me fine.

Why is it in breach of UK lighting regulations? Lots of other cars have the fog mounted in the rear cluster.

I think the fog has to be 10cm or more away from the normal night time rear lights. It's no issue when getting it MOT'd, but it's illegal and you can get pulled over if a copper notices.

I think i'm just going to mount mine centrally.
