Handbrake Guide Plates

a little help needed please..just refitting new hand brake cable and guide plate, i have got two guide plates in a pack do i fit both of them one underneath and one in car , or daft question is one a spare...please help >_<

If you are on about the quadrants that fit to the radius arms then there should be one on each arm.

If you mean the square metal plates, then you only need one in the car. not much point fitting one underneath, but you could if you want to.

cheers...thats what i mean the little square plates. in the car where the cable comes into the car then to the hand brake itself..

Early cars (up to '74 I think) had twin cables all the way to the handbrake and required two plates. Later cars only have a single cable entering the cabin.
