Hi

I have an SPI. The wipers no longer self park, so I have to keep them on until they get to the right place and then turn them off. Also, on the single swipe wipe, I have to keep the lever pushed down or they just stop still. They work fine apart from this.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Andy.

Do you have a rev counter and if so does this still work? With my SPi Cooper there was a wire on the coil that would fall off and I would lose the rev counter and wiper motor park switch. Failing that then you probably need a new wiper motor park switch.

Mine never parked in the right place. Until my dad swapped some fuse around and they now park fine. (they still don't wipe very well but thats just down to bad design!!)

Have a look at your coil. It's a little cylinder mounted on the top left hand side of your engine, with several wires coming off it. See if there are any wires hanging around nearby and if there is, pop it back on.

before buying a park switch check the 3rd fuse down in the bulkhead fuse box.
