Hi all

Ive finally finished my cylinder head

Its took a while but im quite pleased with it

New valves
New guides(reamed)
Cnc machined chambers
Bigger inlet valves
All valve seats cut true to guides
Double valve springs
Ported (first attempt)
Bullet nose guides
Back cut valves
Radiused exhaust valves
Matched exhaust ports and manifold
Surface Ground Flat Top, Bottom and manifold face

not drove the car yet

i will be geting the car on rollers to see if its any good, the rest of the car is standard so should get a good idea

Good man, I love a home brew! It's interesting that the rest of the car is standard, I'll be interested to see the difference it makes.

I fancy trying this myself on a spare head. How and why did you get your chamber design?, did much metal come off?, did you skim much to compensate for lower compression if so by how much?. As you had access to a cnc I take it you also used a press for the guides or did you? more detail please.

do it, its been a great project, i got the chamber shape from visards book,it did take a bit off most arount the side a heart, but didnt go to mad just a tidy up around spark plug,the main thing it there all exactly the same with a good radius,the machined finish was good so no need for polishing (the cast chambers i think are very poor)

i took 0.2mm off head

yes pressed guides in, i found they do close in a touch ,so i reamed mine out, i know some people dont
