I know this has been covered in various topics about general megajolts and general wiring queries but has any one got first hand experience of wiring this particular rev counter in to the megajolt system? I has tried coming straight out the correct terminal on megajolt but without trying every other option and having wires trailing everywhere I thought I would ask to see if anyone has done it.

Afraid I haven't tried that rev counter, there's also a connection on the EDIS module you could try. Though, connecting it to just one of the outer pins on the coil pack is your best chance of success.

Thanks for the reply, which pin on the coil pack do you mean exactly? Don't suppose you have a good photo or diagram?
Cheers

On 2nd thoughts, I'm wrong, you could do that but it would fool the tacho into thinking you were doing half the revs.

Run a wire from the tach out pin (linky) to the spade connected connector on the back of the rev counter.
Leave the bullet connection plugged in the back of the rev counter.
I don't think you need the diode thing unless you have a very old car. I bought one thinking i needed it, but my rev counter works just using the tach out pin...

The tach out on the MJ should be Ok to run that tacho.
My tacho the same as that has a switch on the back to change the no of cylinders and adjust the rpm reading.
Even if there is a problem it should be switchable to a different rev range to suit the mj.

Hmm I don't think there's a spade connector anywhere on it. There are some very thin wires coming out the back! I'll try switching the rev range too!
