Hi,

I have some double valve springs on a cylnder head. I don't really want to purchase new ones but how do I tell id they are okay to use? The head is 44 years old and the mileage is unknown (cooper 998)

To that end, I have the rockers aswell, what should I look out for on those too?

Take them all off and measure them, they should all be within 1mm of each other. Measure them accurately with some vernier callipers.

If theres a bigger difference than that fit a new set.

Good advice there.
