Hey
Recently noticed my scuttle panel has started bubbling,as well as the bottom of my passenger side door. Am i right in thinking I need to get rid of this ASAP, before it becomes a major problem?
How do I go about doing this?I don't want to be left with an unsightly patch of different coloured paint on my car!Is this somethign I do myself?
Thanks!
Also, does this apply to surface rust as well? How do I tackle this?
Bubbling

yes, get rid quickly! It'll either be rust, or moisture under the paint. Either way, it'll eat the surrounding metalwork quicker than you'd think.
You'll need to get some paint matched (unless you can pick it up in rattle cans from Halfords) to get a decent finish, and make sure you prepare the area properly to a) stop it happenning again, and B) to get a decent finish.

The chances are if its bubbling its gonna be deep rust, It's best to try and treat it as soon as you notice and you may be lucky. A wire brush drill attachments what i use for light stuff anything heavier i've got a twisted wire bit for the angle grinder. Best to take away the paint and see what needs doing from there, wether it be a panel change or cut out and repair, you may get away with just using some rust converter filler and a respray.
