Got a drive pin punch set already but neither one of these pins are budging, am I missing something simple here to get these out?

Any tips aswell as swearing at it aint helping much

;D

Select reverse and give it a good whack. If your drift isn't the correct size try the flat end of a drill bit, about 5mm I think.

It helps if you use a piece of wood or something to keep the rod fixed whilst you're going at it with the roll pin punch. It looks like you've got it set about right (gearbox in reverse?).

Yeah was told select reverse so the pin shows more

So am I right, just hit it and drive it through, its being stubborn big time!

Yes, but using something to keep the rod steady helps. Otherwise it just bounces and you don't get enough force on the roll pin.

I made a punch that was perfect from a good quality tent peg by cutting the point off it. Works a treat.

Your just going to have to keep trying, it will come out!

May not be the wisest idea but last time I had to remove my roll pin, I used the little flame torch thingy to apply a bit of heat.

Dont be scared to give it a good wack ;D.

The one to remove is the one nearest the box, as its more accessable and more sterdy that end.

Paul.
