Best insurance company for 106 1.1 @ 22 years old. I've got 2 years no-claims, and will get my third in June, on the mini? No black boxes though. :)

+! on named drivers, i've been getting quotes for when I pass (17, 0 NCB, £1500+!) and putting parents on can make as little difference as £10 but up to £100 maybe more. Just play with the options till you get the cheapest xD

Peugeot 106 1.1 is the cheapest car to insure for me. :/ I could do with a cheap banger, which is easy, and cheap, to fix. :) I'm not getting one of those silly little insurance boxes in my car. no, no,no,no.

My 1.5 diesel 106 was cheaper to insure than the 1.1, they wanted 2100 to begin with as they wouldn't take my classic no claims, eventually found somewhere to insure me for 1300

Yup..about the same as me..21..2years NCD. One accident. Ive done many insurance quotes all come out around the same 900-1500. Also 1.4-2.0 engines doesnt seem to make much difference

    Wow! I paid 750 to insure a 1.4 cavalier when i was 18 and then £700 to insure a 2.6 190E when i was 19. That wasn't that long ago really

I will also say that if you choose an unusual car for someone your age you might be surprised...for example more people at 22 will have probably crashed a 1.4 306..than a volvo estate or something

Anyone around St Helens, Merseyside got a new 59d dizzy cap, 1989 mini 30, and willing to sell? If not I'll go need to travel to m&m's in warrington, the only place open on Sunday with the parts available.

Is is really worth paying almost double the price of a 65 AMP alternator for a 70/75 amp version? I also planning on installing an 075 battery.

Are Halfords or Machine Mart having a big sale within the next couple of weeks? Could do with some tools for work, mainly a decent socket set.
