Needed to patch the sills near the rear wheel arches, right underneath, a N/S/R stop light and a O/S/F wishbone.

Well done mini for peeing on the garage floor. The house now smells of petrol. GRRR!

LMAO. I needed to empty 5 litres of petrol from the tank. The fuel pipe underneath the car had a split, allowing petrol to drip onto the garage floor. You would have though there was a mini petrol station inside the garage with the smell. :(

Cut out/down the stodgy carbs is a good one (bread, pasta, potatoes,) and eat lots of Turkey, fish and coloured veg. Cous Cous is a good one to fill you up too if you don't mind people calling you names :P

Decided last night it was too late to plan a trip to Himley, and I already booked a gym class. Why did I not just cancel the gym class, and jump in in the Astwa? GRRR! :(

Was it too far to drive there for the day?
May 08 2016 12:42 PM -

Not really to be honest. Went to Himley last year. Only remembered about the show last night on the Forum, and thought it was a bit late to be honest. I clearly made the wrong decision.

What's the gearbox common problem on the early BINI, 51 plate? Looking at one ATM, on Ebay. How much to fix. I can do the work myself, apart from anything internal to the gearbox.

It would be a bargain if It's just the release bearing. It would only cost around £100 to fix, and easy enough to diagnose.

The midland boxes on the one and coopers (prefacelift) are weak. The getrag ones are much stronger. I don't know exactly what breaks in them but its more of a case of when they break not if.
