The thought of a european road trip in one of my Mins, after uni is done in July , is just the motivation I need! Better get cracking!

Just what Im planning to do thid July/August! Although I finished uni last year, I decided to work for a year and blow the cash abroad - I was broke straight out of uni!

Letting the gf do the route planning whilst I'm busy with Uni, but managed to get the 'ring, spa, lemans, stelvio, coldeturini and turin in the trip so far ;D

Guy who lives behind me went in his mini and said it wasn't all that much either. I've never been Bingley and don't plan too either

I thought it was a disappointment..... I ended up spending more time on the car park than in the show... There were some minis outside better looking than the ones indoors... Not a great deal going on to be honest

Just no atmosphere. There for 9.30, stalls didn't have a huge selection, didn't seem as many as previous years. Nothing new, nothing interesting, only thing that was grabbing me was the 16v 1360 for sale, very nearly put my hand in the pocket.
Shame really, gonna be doing a lot of ordering now..

Yup, it's hard! Hand in was yesterday, so was up for about 38ish hours with a nap after I posted this :/ all done now though.. Next brief on Monday haha

How much do people roughly take off when tubbing the rear, 1" from the top?

I've done it so it's inline with the top of the inner arch if that makes sense as I'm making a new lip and welding that to the body then putting the tubbed piece welded to the bottom of that

Yeah...I've always seen it done so it's level with the top of the inner arch too.

Cheers Guys! Makes sense being level with the inner arch :) The sportspack off to the bodyshop in the next few weeks for some panels, so might aswell get it tubbed whilst its there!

Alleycats IF, and only IF, you don't mind spending a long time cleaning them. I don't think much of Revo's personally, however easy to clean they look.
Or FR split rims, as mentioned!

Nice trip out on the bike again, forgot how relaxing it can be! The GoPro has got some awful driving from some people though!

Anyone ever fitted airbag'd seats into a Mini? Obv not going to use the airbags, but are they safe not being connected up?

I took the air bag out - filled the void with foam in a bag & put the cover back on.
set the air bags off last nite - sounded like a large banger

Well it's hardly standard being a bright orange sports pack, dunno whether to go for a mk1 exterior. My others semi retro, so I dunno whether doing a similar theme would be boring.. needs to be done for my 2month post uni road trip next year aha :D
