Very sad to hear that a family friend's daughter's fiancee died in a head on crash in a mini :( a passat was over taking a lorry on a blind corner. Just terrible. My thoughts go out to their daughter and his family :( really stops and makes you think.

Found your post and its the same accident. Although I didn't know the other guy had died too, I was told he had severe injuries, but was alive. Just so sad :(

Can anyone give me a rough price for removing over sills and fitting new sills? Assuming that its probably pretty bad underneath? Its a little way off yet but wanted to get an idea of how much it would be.

Thanks :) I love it and so does my family. But I have two minis both projects so if I kept it, it would just get rustier so hopefully someone else can do the little bits that need doing now so it can stay nice!

Pictures explain it better.. left hub with the tabs is a metro one, mini one on the right with no tabs. So you need to grind them down

What sort of price realistically would i be looking at for getting the sills on my clubman replaced? Been fitted with oversills so im assuming it will need inner and outer

Very hard to say without knowing if any other damage has occurred. They can cause rot to spread to the heelboard which bumps the price of repair up
